Cooking Mama met les joueurs au défi d'utiliser le stylet comme un outil de cuisine maître pour cuisiner 76 plats du monde réel allant de la pizza au pepperoni aux rouleaux de viande de chou.

Les joueurs utilisent le stylet pour hacher, trancher, frire, pétrir, râper, écraser, éplucher et plus encore. Sous l'œil vigilant de Mama, les joueurs doivent d'abord préparer les ingrédients, puis combiner, cuire et présenter le dernier repas via l'écran tactile.

Les joueurs peuvent même refroidir la vaisselle en soufflant dans le microphone DS.
