Voici donc la nouvelle et fantastique épopée du jeune elfe Link. Un titre gigantesque et déjà mythique qui parvient à combiner habilement tous les genres. Action, aventure, réflexion, émotion, humour, vous l'aurez compris ce titre mérite amplement sa place au panthéon du jeu vidéo. Mais chut, ce conte enchanteur ne fait que débuter...

Un mois vient à peine de s'écouler depuis la victoire de Link sur l'infâme Ganondorf. Lentement Hyrule retrouve sa quiétude d'antan jusqu'au jour où, à la suite d'un étrange phénomène, Link se retrouve envoûté par une créature démoniaque nommée Stalkid.

Pire encore, désormais une météorite menace le royaume et il ne vous reste plus que trois jours pour déjouer la destinée.

Dès les premières séquences, le ton de ce nouveau Zelda est donné. Ainsi, même si l'esprit qui anime l'aventure reste bon enfant, le scénario ambiance fin du monde se révèle cette fois-ci bien plus sombre que précédemment. Un périple toujours plus long, plus beau (l'expension Pak est désormais obligatoire), mais surtout bien plus varié puisque, grande nouveauté de cet épisode,

Link peut désormais se transformer grâce à certains masques. Des mutations qui affecteront son apparence, mais aussi ses capacités. Autre changement de taille, l'importance considérable du défilement du temps, géré ici en temps réel. Ainsi certaines actions devront être effectuées à des heures et lieux très précis.
